16 - Edzell GC

15 - Royal Aberdeen GC

Result - Dalhousie GC - Away

Narrow defeat at Carnoustie  means draw over both matches.

In a closely fought match on a cold but bright day our seniors did well to keep the result to 4  - 3 down on the  extremely difficult but wonderful Championship Course.

The means that with a 4 - 3 win at Home it was a draw  7 - 7  overall.

Many thanks to Lee  Bushby - Captain for the day for his work before and during the match.

Result - Royal Burgess GS

Seniors come 2nd at Barnton

In a very close fought match we sadly went down  5 - 3 against a very stuffy Burgess team. With many of the  matches going to the final hole this match could have gone  either way but it was a vast improvement on last year's result and bodes well for the return match at Blairgowrie in September.

My thanks to Ian Beattie who carried out his Captain's duties in his usual expert fashion.

13 - Dalhousie GC

Result - Gullane GC

Great Day - Pity about the result !!

Leaving Perth in horrendous weather, matters did not improve when the bus broke down at Milnathort,  however a replacement bus quickly appeared on the scene and together with excellent help and support from the Police, bags were quickly transferred to the new bus and the team arrived at Gullane on time.

The weather also changed remarkably for the better and despite losing to a strong Gullane team 5 1/2 to 2 1/2 everyone had a great day out helped greatly by the excellent hospitality provided by Gullane GC.

My thanks to Fergus Young  for his excellent work before and during the match.

Result - Elie GC

Victory at last !!

Following a run of poorish results,  the Seniors, ably led by Captain of the Day - David Douglas  - had a magnificent win 7 - 1 over their old rivals Elie GC.

Thanks David for all the work done in the run up to the match.

Result - Glasgow GC

Glasgow GC  gain narrow victory at Killermont

In a very closely fought  match we sadly  went down 4 1/2 to 3 1/2 to continue our losing run of results.
With most of the team playing this course for the very first time in a way it was a very good result.
My thanks to Brian Wesencraft for his excellent work as Captain for the day.
